In 2014, the Christoph Lohfert Stiftungspreis, awarded by the Christoph Lohfert foundation, honoured projects aiming to “assure quality regarding risk and error management in hospitals from the patients view”. The honouree of 2014 was picked from more than 50 applications by a jury constituted by prestigious representatives of the health care system. In presence of the patron, health senator Cornelia Prüfer-Storcks, this year’s price awarded to the Patient Blood Management project by Dr. Christoph Lohfert, the benefactor of the Christoph Lohfert foundation. The award ceremony was held in Hamburg as part of the 10th Health management congress.
With the Christoph Lohfert Stiftungspreis, the Christoph Lohfert foundation honours and supports well-tried and sustainable projects focusing on the hospitalised patient, his needs and interests. The Christoph Lohfert Stiftungspreis in particular supports projects, improving the patient’s path during hospitalisation, the communication in hospitals as well as patient safety.
